Useful Information

Recycling collections

Currently, the blue recycling bins need to be taken to the turning circles for collection every Monday morning. Collection is normally early morning.

  • Plastic—only grade 1-5 (look for the triangles with a number within).
  • Glass— no light bulbs, cups, ceramic or broken glass.
  • Metals—no paint cans, aluminium foil or aerosol cans
  • Paper Recycling—Paper items must be separate and should be bundled together and tied securely with string (no bigger than the size of the blue recycling bin). Note: Large boxes or cardboard items will not be taken unless they meet the requirements.

The new "wheelie bin" collection services becomes effective 01 July 2016. At this date, all materials can be mixed in the wheelie bins and these will be collected fortnightly from the turning circle.
