Facilities and Bookings
The properties that make up Shangri-La Gardens are built around some fantastic communal facilities which are jointly owned by all members and are maintained by the elected SLGRA Committee.
Access to the facilities is via an electronic security key (one per property only) and the keys are numbered and monitored. In the event of loss or damage, the cost of a replacement key is $50.
Clubhouse
The clubhouse has an outside BBQ area as well as a BYO bar room and a fully equipped kitchen containing crockery and cutlery for approx. 40 people.
Inside the clubhouse is ample seating and foldaway trestle tables. The hall can be booked free of charge by members for private functions and a booking grants all function guests temporary (but not exclusive) access to our pool.
The clubhouse must be left in a clean and tidy condition, including the BBQ and toilet areas. All rubbish and recycling must be cleared and put in the outside bins - and you are responsible for ensuring they are collected on rubbish day. We ask that any decorations are put up with minimal damage to décor and are taken down after your celebration. We regret that, at the current time, no teenage parties are allowed without written permission from the Committee.
Bookings should be made via our Clubhouse Manager and a $100 deposit is payable before you collect the keys. Deposits are forfeited if the Clubhouse isn't left in a clean and tidy state, ready for the next booking. The Clubhouse condition is checked at 10am the morning after the booking.
To book the clubhouse, contact the Clubhouse Manager.

Swimming pool
Our outdoor, solar heated swimming pool is the focal point for family fun each summer. It is secluded by high retaining walls on two sides and has shaded picnic areas for sun protection. The water is chlorinated and maintained to a high level by an external contractor.
We do not employ a lifeguard and ask people to abide by normal, sensible pool safety rules at all times. Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times and guests must always be accompanied by a member.
Electronic security gates operate and restrict admittance to members only.

Tennis / basketball court
The tennis court is floodlit and maintained by an external contractor.
The court does not have to be booked but members are asked to rotate use on busy days. The electronic security key must be used to access the court and we ask that the gate is shut firmly when members have finished their session. Children making use of the basketball hoop or football goal at one end of the court as asked to 'give way' to adult members seeking a game of tennis.
STRICTLY no wheels, blades, stud boots etc as they damage the synthetic court material.

Children's playground
A barked children's playground overlooks the swimming pool and clubhouse complex. It has climbing frames, a wobbly bridge, a mini flying fox and is well loved by our younger members.
